What the site measures

The site uses no cookies, no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics service. For each download and each page view, it records:

the date, the page or the downloaded version (installer or portable);
the country, region, city, postal code and approximate coordinates of the city, derived from the connection by the host, as well as the time zone and internet provider;
the operating system and browser (from the header sent by the browser), the language, the screen width and the site you came from.

IP addresses are never stored. To count unique visitors, a hash is calculated from the IP address, the browser and a random salt that is renewed and destroyed every day: it cannot recognise you from one day to the next.

This data is used only to measure the use of QasbaGuard. It is neither sold nor shared. It is kept for 25 months at most.

If your browser sends the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, page views are not measured.

Your language choice is kept in your browser (local storage), only so you don't have to choose again. It is not sent to the site. Fonts are served by the site itself, with no third-party service.

You can exercise your rights (access, erasure, objection) by writing to the contact address, and you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Reviews and reports

A review contains the name you give and your text; it is published only after being read. A report contains your message and, if you add them, a screenshot, an audio recording and your email address. These are read only by the publisher and never published. Screenshots and recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days, reports after 12 months. To limit abuse, a daily hash of the connection, without any IP address, and your country are kept with each submission.
